Camping safari through Botswana
Who hasn’t dreamt of gazing at the stars while enjoying a refreshing drink at sunset and listening to trumpeting elephants and roaring lions? This stage takes us through two fascinating national parks with an abundance of wildlife – the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Chobe National Park. We continue through further savannahs along exciting tracks, some of which are only suitable for offroad vehicles, and cross the world’s largest salt pan. With several nights of camping, this XWORLD stage gives you an up close encounter of the breathtaking diversity that Botswana has to offer.

Day 1:
separate outbound travel
Day 2:
Maun I
Initial group meeting in the evening and discussion of the upcoming days.
Overnight accommodation in hotel
Day 3:
260 km Maun – Kalahari I
Early in the morning, we head south to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve to spot animals on a game drive. Camp in the national park
Day 4:
360 km Kalahari – Nata I
We head through the Kalahari on dirt tracks to Rakops. Baobab trees and wildlife-filled grassland line the day’s route along the Makgadikgadi Pan. Camp
Day 5:
320 km Nata – Kasane I
The route heads along tarmac road through the Mopane woodland to the grassy pan region. The ancient Hunters’ Road trade route takes us to Kasane. Hostel
Day 6:
200 km Kasane - Savute I
We drive to the Chobe National Park and head out on the search for the big five in one of South Africa’s most naturally beautiful and species-rich conservation areas. Camp
Day 7:
210 km Savute – Maun I
The last day of driving takes us along the Okavango Delta back to Maun. Hotel
Day 8:
Maun - return journey I
Separate departure and return flight after breakfast
Day 9:
arrival in Germany.
