Day 1:
flight from Germany to Tanzania.
Day 2:
Arusha I
Arrival in Arusha and discussion of the route. Hotel
Day 3:
180 km Arusha – Ngorongoro I
We start by heading west along tracks. The route takes us past Lake Manyara and into the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. Animal watching at dusk. Lodge on the edge of the crater
Day 4:
200 km Ngorongoro – Serengeti I
We explore the famous Serengeti on our safari through the national park on exciting tracks. Lodge
Day 5:
100 km Serengeti I
Extensive game drives at dawn and dusk with a high probability of spotting elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras and various species of antelope. Lodge
Day 6:
200 km Serengeti – Musoma I
We cross the ‘Western Corridor’ of the Serengeti over sandy tracks to Lake Victoria where we follow the east bank to Musoma. Hotel
Day 7:
250 km Musoma – Masai Mara I
We head north and cross the border into Kenya where we reach the Masai Mara National Park via minor roads. Lodge
Day 8:
250 km Masai Mara – Naivashasee I
We continue north along the Rift Valley into the volcanic region of
Lake Naivasha. Hotel
Day 9:
450 km Naivashasee – Tsavo East I
The journey continues to the east. We cross the Rift Valley and pass Mounts Longonot and Suswa. We then continue past Nairobi to the savannah region of the Tsavo National Park. Basic lodge
Day 10:
150 km Tsavo East – Tsavo West I
We visit Lugard’s Falls where we can spot Nile crocodiles and hippos before continuing into the west section of the park. Lodge
Day 11:
140 km Tsavo West I
A rest day with game drives through the hilly and diverse area of the national park. Hotel
Day 12:
230 km Tsavo West – Arusha Nationalpark I
We cross the border into Tanzania and drive along Kilimanjaro to the Arusha National Park at the foot of Mount Meru. Lodge
Day 13:
30 km Arusha Nationalpark – return flight I
Brief trip to Arusha and separate departure
