Around Kilimanjaro

At a height of 5,892 metres, the ‘white roof of Africa’ towers up majestically from stunningly beautiful savannah and safari regions. This stage follows a clockwise route around Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro. Keeping this in sight at all times, the participants can expect an exciting and adventurous trip through the Maasai region, nature reserves teaming with wildlife, such as the beautifully picturesque Arusha National Park, the tourist highlight of the Amboseli National Park and the alluring and diverse Tsavo West National Park.

Day 1:

separate outbound travel

Day 2:
Arusha – Arusha Nationalpark I

Arrival in Arusha and short drive to the nearby Arusha National Park. Discussion of the upcoming days and accommodation in a stylish lodge

Day 3:

230 km Arusha – Amboseli Nationalpark I

We head north through the national park and visit the Maasai

museum village. Continuing along the foot of Kilimanjaro we cross the border into Kenya and reach the Amboseli National Park, famous for its abundance of elephants. Lodge

Day 4:

210 km Amboseli NP – Tsavo West I

We travel through hilly regions past Maasai villages and herds of cattle to the Tsavo National Park where, with a little luck, we’ll today still be able to spot giraffes, zebras, buffaloes or hippos. Lodge

Day 5:

60 km Tsavo West I

Game drives at dawn and dusk through the diverse and expansive Tsavo National Park. Lodge

Day 6:

280 km Tsavo West – Arusha I

We cross the border to Tanzania and drive along the foot of Kilimanjaro on gravel and tarmac roads to Arusha. Hotel

Day 7:

Arusha - return flight I

After a group breakfast, it’s time to say our goodbyes. Separate departure

Day 8:

arrival in Germany.
